ШБ 3.11.29

там эва̄нв апи дхӣйанте
лока̄ бхӯр-а̄дайас трайах̣
ниш́а̄йа̄м анувр̣тта̄йа̄м̇
нирмукта-ш́аш́и-бха̄скарам

Перевод

Когда наступает ночь Брахмы, все три мира становятся невидимыми, а Солнце и Луна перестают светить, как это обычно бывает ночью.
Когда наступает ночь Брахмы, три мира лишаются света Солнца и Луны, хотя сами Луна и Солнце продолжают существовать. Они появляются в уцелевшей части вселенной, за пределами трех миров. Разрушенная часть вселенной остается без солнечного и лунного света. Она погружена во тьму, затоплена водой, и в ней, как описано ниже, бушуют неистовые ветра.

tam evānv api dhīyante
lokā bhūr-ādayas trayaḥ
niśāyām anuvṛttāyāṁ
nirmukta-śaśi-bhāskaram

Перевод

When the night of Brahmā ensues, all the three worlds are out of sight, and the sun and the moon are without glare, just as in the due course of an ordinary night.
It is understood that the glare of the sun and moon disappear from the sphere of the three worlds, but the sun and the moon themselves do not vanish. They appear in the remaining portion of the universe, which is beyond the sphere of the three worlds. The portion in dissolution remains without sunrays or moonglow. It all remains dark and full of water, and there are indefatigable winds, as explained in the following verses.
